[VU+ Solo2] Error - A background update check is in progress - pre and post upgrade to Hades

Your recever is connecting to the server. Nothing is showng up as requiring an update. Not sure what is going on.

I had the same problem with build .12 on a solo2 box, I disabled the background check in software update settings, rebooted the box and then manually did the upgrades, it's now on build .13 and the problem has gone away (although I have left background check disabled).
