Issues with FileZilla + VIX

[garry1312]

Hey guys decided to give VIX 2.4 a try.

Problem I am having is FileZilla will not connect to it. Also had this issue near the end of my use of 2.3.

Uninstalled Filezilla and reinstalled it several times now and still no joy.

Dreambox Edit for buquets I have no issues with what so ever.

Any ideas? when I first used 2.3 no issues with filezilla then later on it would not connect to the receiver. realised 2.4 came out thought I would give it a try and still the same issue putting in root ass the user and leaving pass blank (also tried password) port 80.

Any suggestions anything I am maybe missing or any advice as said tried uninstalling filezilla, installing it again several times.

Just checked there wont even let me get in to the webif through my browser asks for username and password. Once again tried root and password blank and tried password as the password.

Any suggestions?

hi
try using dreambox as the password see if that works m8

By default no password is used by ViX.

yeah Rob is right was using no password but was using port 80 in filezilla. deleted the port and left it blank and that was me guys.

I dont want to open a old can of worms but notice a better PQ from 2.3, looks dull but think thats more to do with me trying to get 2.3 right.

Liking the new skin not much of a change but the time bar over the programme etc is a nice touch. slimmer as well which i like. Not to sure on the the bigger channel bars on the guide, but each to there own it in my opinion is still the best EPG guide be it any other image or 28.2E guide.

Nice work guys as said with 2.3 never could get PQ right but can see that there is a good potential here.

Nice work from the VIX team.

Port 80 is web access.
Port 21 is ftp access.

tried 21 mate but had no joy. What worked was just leaving the port field blank.

Filezilla is sometimes stupid like that. When ive saved sites ive accessed the port always shows blank. Sometimes i have to leave the port field blank too so i think its jus filezilla

another reason i prefer to use a paid for version of FlashFXP.
