[VU+ Duo] Netwok mount not working

Hi!

I finally found the time to upgrade to Zeus. As far as I can see, almost everything is working just fine. I only experience one problem. I have two Duos's, and I used to have them mounted/connected so I was able to watch recordings from both boxes on either one of them. I tried to mount them as I've done before, but it didn't work. Maybe I'm doing something wrong..?

I enter the network settings, and choose Mounts setup. There I choose Network Browser, as I always done before. The search is successful, and the other box is found. However, if I click OK to expand the other box, nothing happens...

What am I doing wrong..?

No... I never did before either. I can try... Which one do I need? Both?

EDIT: NFS did the trick... I didn't know that I had to install it. Thanks!

Dear all,

I'm currently experiencing the same problem with Helios-017 on my ET9000.

I want to mount my network drive (QNAP NAS) and it did always work first time with older images (pre Helios and Zeus) even without the need to install Samba or NFS.

So I have tried this now with Samba and NFS but I still see nothing when I press OK to expand the NAS.

Can anybody please help ?

If you are mounting a NAS sometimes you need to manually set up the mount in mount manager

Thanks for your answer.
I have also tried to mount it manually using the login and password to my NAS.

Everything seems to be OK until I try to access the content on it, I get a pop-up window on my TV saying:

I have tried the same with CIFS (which adds login and password to the NAS) and get exactly the same error window.

And just to remind that this was working perfectly fine and automatically on Vix 808 image.

I had the same problem but installed samba and it sorted it.

What is it you are trying to mount? Hard drive from a laptop, desktop or another box?

I have done it manually, copying the config from previous build (Vix 808) and it is working fine now.
