NEW: Driver update Octagon SF4008 - 17.05.17

1. the number of supported vtuner: 4 -> 8
-> Info: Total 11 tuner support at the sametime!
2. [SF4008-I-71] ATSC type not accepted by vtuner is fixed
3. [SF4008-i-77] DVB-T2 is not accepted by Vtuner is fixed
4. Minor bug fix.

did this make it into the new 14 update or is it to be included into the next update.

No, 14 is a couple of versions of driver behind now.

Still does not support simultaneous tuners for me.

Tuner 1-2 DVB-S2 dual tuner slot 1

Tuner 3 DVB-C single tuner use slot 2

Tuner 4 Sundtek DVB-C USB tuner

Tuner 5 Sundtek DVB-S2 USB tuner

So 5 tuners in total all working individually.

I tried on OpenVix 014 with new driver manually installed and OpenATV of today with new driver.

My testing method is as follows:-

1. Start recording 1 channel

2. Change channel to a different transponder and start another recording, both recordings at this point progress normally.

3. Change channel again to a different transponder and channel shows ok but the problem is that one of the recordings stops recording at that time.

So at the moment this seems to me that is 'simultaneous' tuner use is still not working!

Anyone else tried this feature ?

As far as I can tell, there have been 2 driver updates since 5.0.014, and are in the latest 5.0.016 image.

I ordered this one, am I wrong ? If not i don't see the driver to download in the plugins.

thnx, got everything installed, usb tuner is working but i still see only 1 tuner and i can't enable the other tuners in Sundtek Control Center.

What's next to enable the other tuners ?

All tuners should show up in "service searching" menu.

What other tuners do you have/are you expecting to see? The SundTek control centre is only used to configure SundTek usb tuners.

Menu/Setup/Service Searching/Tuner configuration is where you need to be to see all tuners.

Yes and in Menu/setup/service searching/tuner config i only see 1 sundtek DVB-C tuner, i thought you could use Virtual tuners/ with this DVB-C/T USB tuner
