It is in plugin downloads. But first de-install XMLTV-importer.
Now that you're on 012 again: de-install XMLTV-importer, make a settings backup, upgrade and install EPG-importer. If issues again, flash 013 and use this last settings backup.

Followed the instructions to the letter. Removed XMLTV-Importer from Plugins>Extensions. Updated to 4.1.013.

Back to Plugins>Download plugins>extensions. Cannot see EPG-Importer.

When I press blue button to view extensions EPG-Importer is there!!

Did you unintstall do a settings backup? If not old backup will install old plugin

Uninstalled XMLTV-Importer, then backed up. Updated via Image Manager, then restored settings from the back that had removed XMLTV-Importer.

Plugin>extensions. The only thing close is epgrefresh.

I did a couch flash in the end as although the flashing green was ok for me my wife would chirp about it all the time.

Wondered if anyone could help me out with this, looked through all the remove and download plugins lisys but can't find anything for removing xmltv on our box and don't know what to do with things like
opkg --force-depends remove xmltvimport-rytec enigma2-plugin-extensions-xmltvimport

With the last update I already had changed/deleted to EPG-Import in the extensions, so nothing was blinking.
Just updated to what is 014, and the blinking is back again. No XMLTV in Extensions, just the EPGImport as supposed to be.
Did 3 subsequent updates, but still showing 1 update.
Will go back to previous image, and check/change again.

updated to 014 and when I go into updates says 3 packages available.I ignore that if there is no info on them.Just set backgroundcontrol to no and that anoying blinking is gone.
Saying goes : only update what is broken and ignore everything else. Updates are probably from 3the pârty's.

Updated to 4.1.014 and tried a further couple of updates but green thing still flashing. Noticed the 014 update does not show up in image manager to update from there.

Vu+ Solo2 here again
Back to 011, with XMLTV 3 times
1. Deleted XMLTV, then updated to 014. Still 1 Update to go-
2. Deleted XMLTV, installed IPG-Import, then updated. Still 1 update to go.
3. Left XMLTV where it was, then updated. 2 Updates to go.
So probably there is another package responsible for the current 1 package update message

Then wanting to download Image 014, that is not there, only 013.
Is the numbering off, or is 014 not on the servers to download ?

This time round (-014), the package causing the persistent green dot is openvix-bootlogo. Found this by doing "opkg list-upgradeable" - similar output to the EPG one that Rob listed commands for before. So ran the "opkg remove ..... " with force options as per Rob's posts above. Then the "opkg install -force depends openvix-bootlogo" and "opkg upgrade" and "opkg list-upgradeable" - now blank. No installs showing in "software update" after that but still a GREEN DOT! So finally issued the command kill -1 `ps ax | egrep "enigma2$" | cut -d ' ' -f2`. Or in plain English, restart the GUI! No green dot. So looks like another package just needed a clean re-install. Hopefully one of the Vix team can confirm this but it worked for me.

these updates mostly have nothing to do with the image himself. Are just package updates from third party. Was already mentioned in many cases but nobody seems to understand it.
Are just supplements to the image as a softcam is.No need for updathing if all is fine.
Set in capitals because these question is almost overruling the board and was answord thousends of times.

Updates can always be found here on the board and are free to download or update online.I just check regularly and if update is usefull I let it go on.If not I just wait for next one to come by.
