I've noticed the openvix-bootlogo on a couple of Vu+ boxes. Looks like the current ipk is corrupt causing the upgrade to fail

I'm getting the 1 update package avaiable error, just done telnet heres the output from my gigablue quad

Can you post the exact command please... The green dot drives me crazy too.
Hi, can't remember exact sequence of commands but just checked my BASH history and got:

root@vusolo2:~# bash -o vi
root@vusolo2:~# opkg list-upgradable
root@vusolo2:~# #opkg remove --force-depends openvix-bootlogo
root@vusolo2:~# #opkg upgrade
root@vusolo2:~# #opkg remove --force-remove --force-depends openvix-bootlogo
root@vusolo2:~# #opkg list-upgradable
root@vusolo2:~# #opkg install --force-depends openvix-bootlogo
root@vusolo2:~# opkg list-upgradable
root@vusolo2:~# #opkg upgrade
root@vusolo2:~# #kill -1 `ps ax | egrep "enigma2$" | cut -d ' ' -f2`
root@vusolo2:~#

In case you're not Linux aware, the first # char on any line is part of the PS1 prompt, the second is a comment char to stop me re-entering the command as I built up a cut/paste view. So start any command with "opkg" command.

Please note that although this fixed it for me - and last time based on Rob's advice, there is a possibility that a different issue with similar symptoms may well exist in the future due to 3rd party packages.

Ill just wait till the next update :( , reflashed to 013, I also installed IPTVPLAYER and then was a new update then stopped gst player working :( hope it's fixed soon.
