[ET5x00] Playing Music

Hi Guys,
I really just want a bit of advice.
I have a 1tb hard drive connected to my et5000 by usb all I'm trying to do is put a bit of music on it to play. Im using VIX built in media player.
What I have done so far is,
Created folder in media/hdd/movie called music,
Transferred some tunes to the folder through ftp,
Changed settings in the Music folder to automatically play one after another.

The problem I'm having is when I play the music it doesn't play the whole track, It plays for a min or two the goes to the next track, but unfortunately it doesn't play the whole song.

Have I done it right with regards the file setup, location and transferring of the mp3s? If so is there a setting I need to change so it plays the whole song?
Or would you use a 3rd party player. I'm not fussed about what the gui looks like that's why I wanted to do it through VIX media player (its already there and does a faultless job with my video files)

You could try using the YAMP (player, from the feeds). But it does sound like a fault in either the encoding of the files or the drivers of the box.

This also happens on my GB quad on the default player, plays a minute or so then skips to the next track...It's not a problem with the HD or files as it played ok before..I have used Yamp in previous builds and has worked perfectly..I am now on 064 but yamp doesn't work for me. When you click on the plugin it loads but only stays on screen for a second then goes off..I will try upgrading to the latest build and see if it works ok

I am having the same problem on my GB Quad box. Music plays for 1-2 minutes, and then skip to next number. It never completes the song. I have also tried to install the YAMP, but it only shows up for 1 sec and then disappear again.
I am on the newest release - Hades build 10

I just tried to replicate this, but here MP3 playback is fine (Hades 010, MP3's on internal HDD, 'Play audio on background = Yes').

I had this problem, which i reported a while back where the default player only played 1-2 mins of the track
I got round this by using Yamp, but having said that there is another problem as you said it flashes up for a second then disapears...As far as i have read this is something to do with the skin you are using, it happens with me when i am using "You vix green" skin. if you use the vix default skin yamp should work..When i play music i change skin back to the default skin, not ideal i know...but it works..I think the writer of the Yamp player has to change something in the plugin to be compatible with the new hd skins? thats what i read anyway..Hope this helps
