Yes tried from plugin list and console. Message says ‘ no plugins were installed or removed’ Also tried installing e2 player and deps. Channels still crashing and occasionally play then crash again.this is strange. when i tried it a short while ago i did not have any problems.
did you you install it from the openvix plugin list? if i recall correctly gstplayer is part of the serviceapp.

This means you already have it installed.‘ no plugins were installed or removed’
For 5001/5002 services you need additional packages. Not on my vu+ solo 4k i had to install them both you can choose gstplayer but it will say not installed until you install the e2iplayer-deps

What packages what do i installFor 5001/5002 services you need additional packages.
Gstplayer2 is a newer version, but needs code change to use it.Tried the opkg install gstplayer and it worked but opkg install gstplayer2 saying nothing installed how do i check what is installed

No probs thanksGstplayer2 is a newer version, but needs code change to use it.
I have the code change and have to say it makes no difference that I can see which is why I havenit added code change to OpenViX version.
So for the moment forget it. Like many things people get carried away by posts talking about new versions which in actuality offer no difference,
the name gstplayer suggests that gstreamer is used for playback. however, the system already includes the latest gstreamer for playback. so, i dont understand what the point is to have a second gst player.Gstplayer2 is a newer version, but needs code change to use it.

Like many things when the OE-A gets updated (e.g. next branch OE-A 6.0 build is based on the master branch of OpenEmbedded OE 6.0 Wrynose) you get updates to existing components as a matter of course and some people like to try them.the name gstplayer suggests that gstreamer is used for playback. however, the system already includes the latest gstreamer for playback. so, i dont understand what the point is to have a second gst player.
so, is my assumption then correct that built-in gstreamer, gstplayer and gstplayer2 are just 3 different gstreamer versions?Like many things when the OE-A gets updated (e.g. next branch OE-A 6.0 build is based on the master branch of OpenEmbedded OE 6.0 Wrynose) you get updates to existing components as a matter of course and some people like to try them.
In the case of gstplayer2, OpenATV made it a setup option - I haven,t seen any reason to do so.

Its actually been like this for several weeks, if not longer. Interestingly the error is not there on the Pluto android app, just on the enigma 2 plugin.i can confirm this. westerns and pink panther have the same epg. i would suspect that it is a bug in epg data. let's check again tomorrow if the problem persists.
