Hi original vuduo bought from WOS about 3years ago .
Was working fine until other night turned off as normal ,flicked the switch at the back next morning ,
boot screen comes on as normal but it just hangs there with a spinning vix logo.
Have tried a fresh usb flash of a few different images ,all say flashing finished remove usb and reboot.
and the boot screen changes picture (to match the version of vix)like it has flashed the image ,
But same problem it just hangs with a spinning vix logo.
I have disconnected HDD, same problem ,as well as removed usb for epg.
anyone any idea what to try next ?
thanks

You should never keep flicking the receiver off at night. Will do more harm than good. When you have flashed with the new image, do you get the OpenViX boot screen?

Ok thought flicking the switch was the way to do it...
Yes i get the picture of the field at sunset ,as i've just flashed latest vix.
It shows the field for about 3 mins then a large vix spins in top left corner for about 10 seconds then it changes to a smaller vix and that keeps spinning and keeps spinning and keeps spinning...

You basically have a Linux computer there, simply powering off should be a last resort as with all computers you should go through the full power off or restart routine unless that is unavailable.

You need to turn on debug logs and when its doing the spinning access by telnet from a PC (using eg putty) enter init 4, wait 60 secs and then enter enigma2 and see what the log shows its doing (it will display on your PC screen), if anything

Are they on by default the debug logs ? on the latest vix
because it doesn't boot far enough to be able to use the remote to turn them on.

No, you have to activate debugging your self.
