[VU+ Solo2] Streaming box to kodi

i have solved this big time for everyone !!

such a simple way to do it now

download the VU+ app for android version 2.0 and side load it same way as u do for kodi and use the app once setup works a dream even recording watching skysports live on me firestick with no lag or issues

It may cost you a couple of quid, but will (or should be able to) resolve the "not being able to get rid of the ad issue".

Went with IPTV myself, works a dream. Can't get the Pro version working though, I bought it through google play so no license key file to push to firestick...

Wish we could get the PVR client to play nicely with live streams in kodi though, tried everything. If all other apps can play the live SD streams ok I am sure Kodi can.

The problem with using vu player or live tv in kodi is that none of the port 80 streams are password encrypted. So if you want to stream from your receiver, when you open the port on the router its accessible by anyone.

I know this is an old thread but found two things that may help first on live TV it only seems to stutter on encrypted channels not sure why because the VU box has already decrypted them.

Secondly if you put a Helix (14.2) build of Kodi on (if you are using Openelec build 5.08 http://archive.openelec.tv/) no more stutters

So you lose all your fancy Pulse CCM builds and the like but dont get stuttering

Ok so i thought i would post this if anyone is still stuck using Kodi and the VU+ addon for streaming to another tv and getting buffer issues.

I have VU+ Duo2 with latest vix build, Kodi installed on fire tv stick. Will work with anything you can install Kodi on.

Once you have setup the vu addon and have all channels and recordings working, install the fusion/tvaddons repo and find 'easy advanced settings' addon in the program addons section.
once installed you need to find pvr settings and change the min buffer level to 80-100 then write to xml file.
this will buffer the live channels for a few seconds before playing and no more buffering every few mins.
