What OpenViX Image build number are you using?

OpenViX 6.7.013 (2025-07-03-Release)

Have you tried re-flashing WITHOUT settings restore?

NO

Have you tried re-flashing WITH a settings restore?

NO

When trying to run a software update or download new plugins I get a 'URLerror' message, but the box itself seems to be online - all network tests are passed correctly, and I can access the webserver no problem.

What else can I check?

If you can telnet into box e.g. with putty (userid = root, password = your password or enter passwd and change it.)
Then enter —-> opkg update and post any error msg

Hmm. pinging 8.8.8.8 or curling bbc.co.uk all makes it look like the box doesn't have network connectivity... Weird!

I'm thinking it might be an issue with me trying to use tailscale so I've tried to disable that...

Yes those links load okay on other devices on the same network.

The sf8008 is on WiFi so I will check if ethernet is any different

Most likely cause is DNS lookup failure.

What are the DNS settings in your adapter setup?

If you are behind a VPN disable it and try again.

I reflashed the box in the end and I am now not using tailscale on the box. Also my box was using my router as its nameserver so I've changed them to be 1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8 instead. Seems to be working great so far...!
