hi all
ive currently got a vu solo 2 in my living room set on static 28.2e dish with dual lnb
i want to put a sky eye or something similuar on my box so i can watch it upstairs in the bedroom, i noticed the box doesnt have a rf slot so i think sky eye isnt a option
is there any other way without having to buy another box as ideally want to control the box downstairs like sky eye can do
hope someone can help
thanks in advance

Webif is built into the vix image on your solo2, rf modulators are available from Amazon and maplins, I'm sure you will find them with a simple search.

HDMI Extender over Cat5/6 is by far the better way, better picture quality and you could use an app on your android/iOS device to change channels.

Hdmi extenders can also have remote sensors in them. I use them in all rooms and have my receiver in a cupboard.

The guy specifically asked about a RF solution, maybe his upstairs TV doesn't have HDMI.

I use another enigma 2 sat box with the 'remotestreamconverter' plug in.

It's not the cheapest option but in my experience it's by far the best.

What would you say it compares to and how good is it

Its like having a receiver attached directly to your sat dish, except in reality its a client of the main receiver .... But providing you have a spare tuner on the main receiver it can access every channel independently :) ... Requirements? Lan connection.

is it stable , what devices do you need to stream it

I would say it compares to having a proper sat box with a sky feed, the picture quality is perfect.
I have a Vu+ Solo 2 downstairs and a Technomate Nano in the bedroom, when I watch upstairs the Nano streams from the Solo2's second feed.

The only other requirement is a set of homeplugs.

The other benefit is that someone can watch what they like on the main receiver, and another person can watch what they like on the client receiver :)

how would you change channels with the rf modulator as i found spare on lyong round the house
