[TM-2T] Webif plays recorded stream but not live tv stream

Hi Guys

I have just changed my Gigablue Quad for a Technomate TM-2T, the Quad streamed via Webif without any problems both at home and via Firefox from anywhere else outside of the home network using a DNS address , I changed all the ports settings on the TM-2T to equal the ones on the Gigablue and the home network streaming works fine but when I am outside of the home network i can only stream recorded tv not live tv which is a bit odd as they are both streams coming from the same box( see error below ). I am running the latest VIX 26 image and have no other problems apart from this. If anyone has any ideas i would be very grateful.

VLC is unable to open the MRL 'http://xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx/1:0:1:1134:7D7:2:11A0000:0:0:0:'. Check the log for details.

Sounds like you no longer have the port forwarding in place. You need to forward 8001 and 8002 to the TM IP address.

Many thanks for your reply but why is the recorded data streaming without a problem? i will take another look when i get home but i am sure i checked the ports where forwarded.
