Try using the latest released drivers and see if that helps.

Code:
http://archive.vuplus.com/download/drivers/beta/vuplus-dvb-modules-bm750-3.1.1-4.4.3-20120228.tar.gz

extract the archive i use 7zip for this but winrar will do.
FTP into your receiver and navigate to Lib > Modules > 3.1.1> Extra. backup the files already in there for safe keeping, Then overwrite the new files. once done reboot the receiver.

What is the latest subtitle player that works with this img whitout problems?

hello.
i can't get the webinterface to work.
it comes up with the message 'Cannot call method 'getElementsByTagName'

worked fine before i updated to latest vix image. please help?
i use cross epg, and open tv 28.2

You need to go into menu/plugin/open webif and make sure ur http port is set to 80
done that. restarted network. still get exactly the same error.
changed port to 80. enabled everything.
Error Parsing EPG: TypeError: Cannot call method 'getElementsByTagName' of null

never got this before, web interface used to work fine before installing this latest image.
any other ideas?

..........Had to install webinterface via plugins. it works now.

Thats strange. Never seen that error before. In the plugin menu do you have open webif and webinterface or just open webif?

jah just edited my post - i just had webif installed.
it works now. i installed webinterface old - there was another 'web interface old SR' or something, is that better?

Well u can either use webinterface-old which wont get updated again as its for dreambox only or you can use the open webif which is the new one for any box and is always getting updated with new features etc so id recommend open webif

okay but what is this webif then? when i type in my vu duo's ip into the browser, it comes up with the normal vu duo web interface.
how do i get this new one then?
i presume youre talking about a new layout in the web browser?

Yeh the new open webif is the bluey lookin one. If you go into plugins then press green to download, the. Under the extensions submenu u will find open webif. When you install it. You will need to disable webinterface-old first an then enable open webif and set it to use http port 80

hi guys i am new to vu+ and just flashed it with your new great vix image (v2.3) my problem is that the channel jumps by itself to another channel after 20-30 seconds. Did this happen to anyone already? thx for any ideas how to fix this:D:D

Never heard that one before lol hmm strange, does the light flash on the front as though you wer doing it via remote? Or have u not noticed? Something to keep an eye out whether remote randomly keying things lol

Might be someone accessing your webif lol.

While i am here i used the older 2.1/2.2 vix images and had a nightmare with green crashes so i used other images, however i decided to try the new 2.3 image and i got random black screen crashes but the last online update sorted those issues.

I have however noticed the vix sign pop up on the left and spin on its own accord and switch off and on of box was only solution but right now the image is working great.. i have no installed plugins apart from the ones that came with the image and i have disabled telnet and webif and ftp.. i open them when i need to.

Might not be what everyone would like but its running fine for me..no reboots/crashes whatsoever.

Sorry to be a dum dum how / where do i up load zip files of me crash logs for Vix 2.3 build 204 cant see button for adding attachment.

VU + Duo Crashing

Vu+ Duo I have had now for 14 mths with no problems until I upgraded to 2.3 build 204 over the last 3 weeks I have averaged 4 or 5 crashes a day ( going mentle ) I have tryed ever thing listed on other posts, copy of old log here with.
So done a fresh down load of Boot loader and Vix 2.3 build 204.
New CCCam 2.3

Set up with motor 1mrt dish on A .Sly dish on input B,
New Vhannibal E2 Motor Bouquet for 28, 19.2, 16.,13, 4.8, east done full rescan and cleared old + picons.
USB drive Lexar lightering 2 2gb for above
OCZ 90Gb sata SSD (very good and fast no lag).
No other plugins install

New Log from last 2 day still crashes manly black screen attached as well.
Before upgrade only had 6 or 7 Green screens over 14 mths.
hope the logs show what is going on
Many thanks for the great work and support .

yes logs are tremendously helpful and always welcomed. you can send them directly to us via the inbuilt logs manager in the image remember to fill in your details so that we can keep track of the logs you submit.

My image is also very unstable. Get at least 1 crash daily and this results in my EPG being lost and so need to re download that as well. I don't get any black or green screens though, the system just becomes unresponsive sometimes with the vix spinner and just hangs on there for an age. I'll send some logs thorugh. My concern at this point is that I'm going away for 3 weeks shortly and without an EPG, autotimers won't work.

Would it make sense to have another image, "VIX Lite" or summat, which will be just a basic image without a lot of the bells and whistles just aimed at providing a stable platform?
