[VU+ Solo2] Streaming box to kodi

As suggested in post 35 I created a m3u file with a single channel inside. This is a HD channel. I setup kodi simple iptv client to use the m3u file and then opened the channel. Kodi is streaming the hd channel absolutely perfectly without a single buffer.

So definitely sounds like a plugin issue now
The tunerserver plugin will create m3u files for all your channels if it helps.

Hi,
will try 50hz I have my solo 2 set to 60hz ?
why did you set you Solo2 to 60Hz? Solo2 normal TV over HDMI should be the frequency your country uses which should be 50Hz for UK. Streaming is also 50Hz but in my experience the Solo2 works better with 60Hz when transcoding is used.

ciao

How does the plugin work? I've added it but I don't see any options... Also is there like a WIKI for plugins? there are lots of plugins and all I have is their name to decide if they are good or not :)

Hi,
when you open the web interface and click on the TV on the left from the bouquet name you get a m3u with all services in this bouquet.

ciao

After you install it, you can find it under Menu -> Setup -> System -> Network -> Tuner Server setup.
Once run, it creates folders of your bouquets with m3u files for each of the channels in the bouquets.
If your HDD is shared, any networked device that can use m3u files can use them.

Nope...

I've been too busy to look at this...

Has anyone had a chance to test either the vu client plugin or the tuner server?

My box works with the vuplus addon using transcoding, so not really been motivated to look for other solutions :)

Judge, with red to tuner server. Would this work with android TV? Does kodi live TV access this for a better stream?

I've got simple iptv client setup with my m3u stream file. How can I setup the solo2 to use http authentication for port 8001?

I've enabled http authentication in the webif but this only enables authentication for port 80 and 8002

Looks like you can enable it in Menu -> Setup -> System -> Customise.
But I don't know what username/password it wants, does anyone know if this works?

enable the Vu+ client in kodi put in your boxes IP only then enable live tv from inside kodi system & let the channels load,

all done via Amazon Fire TV, theres no buffering or freezing on SD or HD, all done through wifi

Possibly not what the OP is after, but I use the VU+ android app sideloaded onto the fireTV stick and no problems watching my solo2 live TV or recordings. Slight bit of guess work using the remote, as there is no pointer but you soon get used to it.

I just find it less hassle / more reliable than running the VU+ PVR through Kodi.

i have solved this big time for everyone !!

such a simple way to do it now

download the VU+ app for android version 2.0 and side load it same way as u do for kodi and use the app once setup works a dream even recording watching skysports live on me firestick with no lag or issues

will use kodi for movies and tv shows streaming only

enjoy folks get your enigma 2 box on your fire tv easy now

simply side load the vuplus app to it

I've installed it and its running across my LAN. But the question remains - there is no setting on the Enigma2 receiver to enable authentication for port 80.

If you want to stream when away from home you need to open port 80, and if someone figures out the URL they can stream without authentication.

change the stream port from 80 to another one,

in saying that I'm trying to sideload different apps as the VU+ App asks to fill out something to win a box but I cant click the next button as its a touchscreen app

anyone know of any other apps that can stream ?
