[VU+ Duo] OpenVix Freeze Issue on Vu+ Duo

Hi there,
I'm having an issue with OpenVix 4.1.016 using the Blue HD skin which I flashed last week. Any help would be appreciated.

The issue is that the spinner randomly appears and spins indefinitely, causing the box to freeze. The picture and current channel are still watchable, but the box is frozen - channel, volume etc cannot be changed. Box does not respond to the remote control. The only way to stop the spinner is to switch the box off from the back. As I said the spinner appears randomly while watching tv and is not the result of any remote control or recording actions. I have my EPG and Picons working off a USB. Can anyone advise why this might be happening? Thanks.

The original duo is some thing like 6 years old now and will only get worse with every new image.

This is one of the few machines I would recommend you find and stick with a older image.
It should have been discontinued from support with the original solo in my opinion but as its still a cash cow for Vu+ that's not going to happen.

I agree mate, support should have stopped at ViX 3.2.037 like with the Vu+ Solo, even before then.

Its essential that you setup a swap file for your Vu+ Duo.

Ok I've created a 128mb swap file on my USB. Hopefully this improves performance. Cheers
