[TM-TWIN 4K] Newbie unable to setup twin 4k

Hi all, I am completely inexperienced with this, got my Twin 4k yesterday and I cannot for the life of me get it going. Firstly, the ip address works intermittently and second I cannot get it to accept mgcamd, do I have to use the Oscam already installed?

New generation Arm based 4K receivers ALL have to use OScam.

IP address issue is most likely because of MGcamd setup that should not be be used.

or use ncam. very similar to oscam and works flawlessly on octagon 4k. in fact I think its slightly better the oscam

Thanks for that. Although the ip address issue happens at setup, way before I tried to install mgcamd.

it very similar to oscam in setting up. read first and then go for it. the softcam is attached but its only for vix image.

the IP issues - i would switch box of, I would restarted your modem, once it back on, restart box and setup

Yeah John Doe, I do all that and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. If it continues to be problem I'll have to return it. Gonna install this cam and then figure out how to add the necessary info. Cheers

It is wired, I also bought the technomate hp 500 and I still get the same problem

Looks like a dodgy Ethernet cable. Try another cable.

It can't be the cable Ashley69 if the same thing happens using HP500

i don't have two new boxes, the HP500 is the technomate wireless homeplug network

Try plugging a laptop into the hp500 and see if you get the same fluctuating network availability.
