Custom Bouquet IPTV & FTA/FTV

However, the above suggestion on defining constants would mean limiting end-users to just one IPTV provider. This wouldn't bother me but there may be others that use multiple different IPTV providers so their iptv URLs may differ dramatically.

May actually be best to leave it as it currently stands as it's more flexible so ignore my suggestion :D

Missed your edit.

That's all I did dsayers. Didn't have to edit service references. Like I said, I did ensure I had removed all existing bouquets first (after doing init 4).

Just added the modded files and edited the custommix file and edited it so it went something like:
Code:
<stream url="http://domainname.ddns.net:1234/live/[email protected]/password/336.ts" target="106" />

Dsayers, can you post an example of just the IPTV URL your provider uses?

Mine is:
Code:
http://domainname.ddns.net:1234/live/[email protected]/password/336.ts

UPDATE:

Based on your post #30, this is example of your IPTV URL:

Code:
http://domain.dns:4545/live/username/F36/password/308.ts

They are very similar. Your IPTV url (from that post) already had " %3a " as the code for ":"

@Dsayers, if you use your URL above (for whatever channel 308.ts is) within custommix file then it should work. Remember to amend any
existing "%3a" to ":" first within custommix file.

UPDATE 2:

I just checked my original .m3u file and the IPTV URLs are same as I posted (ie with just " :" instead of " % 3a " )

Yes your method works. I was using the original .ts links with " :" but I was trying to force service references and was getting the extra caractors, once I tried your method it worked straight away.

Slight issue I have been trying with 2 providers and noticed one has a mixture of .ts, mp4 and mkv at the end of the links in the m3u do you think there is a way around that?

Can the image decode .mp4 and .mkv on the fly just like .ts ?

So if you look at the actual bouquet file itself if you have one of the URLs with .mp4 in it, does that that work ok just like .ts ?

Sorry ignore me its VOD so probably best using xc plugin or similar to watch VOD

Re: "%3".

I can edit the code so it works both ways. i.e. with or without an encoded url.

That's a great idea. It would resolve both scenarios.

I'll try to test this more over weekend.

Thanks again Huevos

Just want to say at this point a massive thanks for all the input you guys are putting into this project, things are going in the right direction

I agree. No point trying to stick to a fixed url format. And anyway not all streams even have a username and password at all, so let's stick to just "url" and "target".

Ok, this version deals with the url encoding issue. So now you should be able to just cut and paste your URLs into the CustomMix file whether they are encoded or not.

Is there a way to use another box IP address? ie use my vu uno 4k as server box then use custommix to add virgin channels from that to another box in the custommix.

I have used openwebif to generate an m3u but when opening it, it doesn't end in .ts.

Sky Premier HD
Code:
http://IPadress:port/1:0:19:A2B:1A:F020:FFFF0000:0:0:0:

What's the location for this file once the urls have been copied across please?

\usr\lib\enigma2\python\Plugins\SystemPlugins\AutoBouquetsMaker the py files go in the scanner folder the custommix goes in custom.

Probably best saving a copy of the original pyo files somewhere save then you can easily restore them if it causes issues

What does it matter if it ends in.ts? Just needs to be a stream URL that enigma2 understands.

Can you use this with the custom region, ie use ABM to remove all the blocked transponders and then add back in just some of the IPTV channels. Many IPTV providers will not have all the missing channels, like the +1 channels.

I wondered how long it would be before someone asked that.

Just use HD/SD region. Add streams to the channels you want. Delete the channels you can't open.

LOL - thought that may be the case :)
