Hi All,

I have this Triple Quad LNB: https://www.canaldigitaal.nl/apparatuur/satellietschotels/triple-lnb-quad/
It's 1 LNB for the 19.2E / 23.5E / 28.2E and it has 4 outputs.

In the beginning I just connected 1 cable to just 1 of the outputs, put the tuner config in Simple Disecq A/B/C/D and that works just fine.
But it only uses 1 tuner, so I can't record from 19.2E and 28.2E at the same time.

So I have a Spaun SAR 411 WSG, 4 cables to each of the LNBs outputs and 1 cable to the Gigablue.
I does work with 1 tuner (but it seems very slow) and I can't get the other tuners to work at all.
Can someone help me out on setting this up right?

Updated from 5.2 to 5.3.039 but that didn't help. If I select the auto function it only detects 1 LNB 19.2E and that's it.

Hi All,

I’m no expert but...

Your LNB appears to be a traditional QUAD LNB where each output can be independently switched between three satellites.

Were you expecting this to work in the same way as a unicable LNB?

Use one output connected to one of the box’s tuner input connector and as you have found you can switch between any of the 3 satellites. That 1 LNB output will only output the signal from the satellite last selected – not all three at the same time.

Connect a second cable to the box’s second tuner input and you can independently select any of the three satellites so with two outputs from the LNB you can have
(2 x 19.2E) or (2 x 23.5E) or (2 x 28.2E) or (1 x 19.2E plus 1 x 23.5E) or (1 x 19.2E plus 1 x 28.2E) or (1 x 23.5E plus 1 x 28.2E)

Your Spaun SAR 411 WSG is not making any difference because it is probably duplicating what the LNB already does – but as you introduced another module in the chain this is probably the cause of your slow down. You send the command from a single tuner to select, say, 19.2E and now does the Spaun SAR 411 WSG then pass on this information to ALL LNB connectors so now all 4 outputs are configured to output only from the 19.2E satellite?

A specification/description in English for a similar Triple quad LNB
https://www.inverto.tv/lnb/142/quad-triplefeed-23mm-lnb-192e-235e-282e-for-65cm-dish

Albeit a different manufacturer but it is indicated that if the LNB doesn’t get the correct control signal it will default to outputting from 19.2E

What I want is that my tuner just goes to the 1st available LNB that's not in use and just use 1 cable (not 2).

So if I record something on 19.2E and that uses LNB1 on tuner A, it should switch to Tuner C (which is the next available tuner I guess, as A and B are physical tuners on my Gigablue) and Tuner C should be linked to LNB2 and go for the correct satellite.
And so on, up to 4 at the same time (but I'm probably never going to use more than 3 at the same time).

So Tuner A = LNB1 / Tuner C = LNB2 / Tuner D = LNB3 / Tuner E = LNB4
And they could all tune into either of the three satellites
All is controlled through 1 cable

Or maybe set LNB1 to 19.2E / LNB2 to 23.5E and so on, that would be no problem for me. As long as I can record/watch multiple sats at the same time.

Or should I use another 4 > 1 switch?

I'm not an expert in satellite, but this is what I wanted and I thought was possible. Before I had a rotor and 1 single LNB, it had the same restriction: only 1 transponder at one time to record/watch from.
