[VU+ Ultimo4K] Can no longer get a Unicable II picture signal on my box after disconnecting and reconnecting box

Disable all tuners. Then set Tuner B as Simple, Single, 28.2. please do it in that order. C-H will then show as FBC automatic.

Connect each of your six wires one at a time to Tuner B ( not card B), check that several channels work and fix the Universal label on those wires. One wire should not work, that will be your unicable. Put the label on that wire and attach it to tuner A. Then reconfigure your tuners.

Thanks. I've done all that. Turns out that I actually had 8 cables. Only 6 were plugged into LNBs and 2 were just taped to the back of the dish. So 4 Universal LNB cables gave a picture so I've plugged those back into my VU+ Duo 4K SE box and that box is working fine again.

So I'm left with 2 double cables. Those didn't give a picture on my Ultimo 4K box so one of those double cables must be from the Unicable LNB. So I left a double cable plugged into Tuner A and B as in your picture at the top of the thread and I changed the tuner settings back to the Unicable II settings as below and restarted the box but I didn't get a picture. Strangely I then plugged in the other double cable and restarted the box but STILL didn't get a picture. What should I do now?:

Tuner A
Configuration mode: Advanced
Satellite: 28.2E
LNB: LNB 1
Priority: Auto
Type of LNB/Device: SCR (Unicable/Jess)
SCR (Unicable/JESS) type: LNB
Manufacturer: GT-Sat
Model: GT-S1dCSS24
Position: 1
Channel: User band 1 (0975)
Connected through another tuner: No
DiSEqC mode: None
Force legacy signal stats: No

Tuner B
Configuration mode: Advanced
Satellite: 28.2E
LNB: LNB 1
Priority: Auto
Type of LNB/Device: SCR(Unicable/Jess)
SCR (Unicable/JESS) type: LNB
Manufacturer: GT-Sat
Model: GT-S1dCSS24
Channel: User band 2 (1025)
Connected through another tuner: Yes
Connected to: Tuner A: Vuplus DVB-S NIM(45308X FBC) DVB-S2X
DiSEqC mode: None
Force legacy signal stats: No

I tried setting up tuner Tuner C-H the same as Tuner B above but changing each new tuner to
User band 3, User band 4, etc but those tuners wouldn't let me select "Advanced" for
"Configuration Mode" so instead I used the same settings as Tuner B but changed the settings
below. Is this correct?:

Configuration Mode: FBC SCR (Unicable/JESS)
Channel: User band 3 (1075) (I set each next tuner to use the next user band)
Tuner A to H says it’s Slot 1.

I have already given you advice to identify your cables. Only difference now is you have 3 cables that could be unicable.

Don't forget, one of the cables from the gtsat is universal, the other is unicable. I suspect you are considering them both as Unicable.

Edit:
Alternatively, disable all tuners barring one. Set that tuner as Unicable. Test one cable at a time until you get the right one. Then label it.

That's what the problem was. I didn't realise the GTSat LNB had 1 Unicable and 1 Universal as it wasn't very clearly labelled on the LNB. I thought only a Hybrid LNB had 2 different LNBs on the same LNB. I must have put the Universal cable into Tuner A which is why I wasn't getting a picture. I'm getting a picture now with the Unicable LNB. I've chopped the Universal cable out of the wall and I've labelled all the other cables now. Thanks for your help, it was much appreciated.

These are my settings for having a single Unicable II cable plugged into Tuner A. Are these settings correct? Also does it matter which user band I select for each tuner as long as each tuner is on a different user band? Can I have Tuner C-H on User band 3, 4, etc?

It would have been better to not cut the wires. Anyway, it's done.

For unicable, every tuner must have its own SCR. Any configured tuner without its own direct wire, has to get it's signal from another one. So "connected to" must be set to yes. You also have to tell it which tuner it is getting signal from. Somebody could have a 19.2 LNB in B and 28.2 in A ( Obviously doesn't apply to you, but just explaining)

Post screenshots please if you are still having issues.

My mistake, tuners C-H can only be "FBC SCR" or "FBC Automatic". I'll correct my earlier posts. Sorry.
"FBC Automatic" is not "automatic configuration", but "internal loop" through when required.
