[VU+ Solo2] Just developed a problem.

We have just noticed a problem with the box that has only just developed.

Basically, I was watching ITV HD, when at 9pm, Sky One HD started to record. Then, a few seconds later, the channel I was watching started to pixelate, gradually getting worse till the channel was unwatchable. I tried changing channel and every one was the same. So, I stopped the recording, and now ITV HD is fine again.

I checked the SNR, that is 100%, and the one below is 82%.

What could be wrong? It is only happening when it is recording. It hasn't happened before today.

Maybe too much junk on your box. Check your free space, have you a swapfile setup?

Well, on a Solo2 you certainly don't want to use a swap-file.

Hi,
set the preferred tuner once to A and then to B and watch if in both cases your live TV is OK. Do you use TWin-/Quad-LNB or a multiswitch? It also might be a problem when both tuners are working at the same time.

I tried a combination of things. I set 2 channels to record at same time, both encrypted. Then viewed both live whilst recording. No interference.

Then tried watching live channel using tuner b while a recorded. Then vice versa. No interference.

This was after I restarted the box for a second time. I haven't tried using the same scenario as when I got the interference again though, as in watching itv hd while recording sky one hd. Using tuner a and b respectively.

Not sure what was wrong. But we have noticed more and more pixeling on the fta channels recently.

I haven plenty space on the box too. 100mb flash available 400gb on hdd available too.

Having problems with MgCamd stopping today too. Have to manually go in, stop it, then start again to get it going.

Been a bad couple days with the Solo2.
