Hi,

I have a new Vu+ Duo2 and also an existing Solo2 running Matrix HD. I have not been able to show picons on the Duo2 in MatrixHD. But can do in other skins when swapping skin settings.

Any ideas or suggestions ?

Thanks - Gold is the first channel with a picon so wonder if the latest couple of updates are missing lots of UK images?
Strange how they all appear in the EPG if you have the channel set to display picon - so might be some other bug
Gary

Ocram's latest picons do not work for me either. Not sure if a bug or deliberate but seem to be named differently with the service names being links.

Thanks, would this work with Ocram's SHD icons ?
Currently I've directly downloaded them via the Plugins menu to their default location. This worked OK for me on my Solo2 Receiver, but not the Duo2... odd

Thx

Default ECM work with CCCam, unfortunately I don't use Oscam but if somebody finds a skin part that works I will try and build it in.

There have been a few changes with the picons. As a result there are now only servicerefs beginning with 1_0_1 AND 1_0_2. The default picon renderer falls back to 1_0_1 if no serviceref is found that exactly matches. This reduces faults considerably. But this skin does not do this I think

The skin isn't interested in references: it gets the correct picon from E2. The code in the skin is only something like:
Code:
<widget source="Service" render="Picon" position="aa,bb" size="xx,yy" alphatest="blend" transparent="1" zPosition="2">
<convert type="ServiceName">Reference</convert>

hmmm working now
i set skin to general, saved the skin it wrote xml file i noticed that oscam info was working great :)
then set it back to metrixhd default as it was previously was it wrote the xml file
now it works ..!
i assume i never had the second info set in the image when it orignally built the skin.xml file
hopefully if some finds this you may save yourself alot time trying to figure it out
foz

Not sure if it still does, but it used to look for that xpicon folder. So it used to use something not standard.. But if it uses all the standard code it should work.....

Does that mean the skin needs to be tweaked or something else before it will work? Or can ocram revert back to the old formatting of picons?
I love this skin but hate the disappearing picons :(
Gary

There's nothing wrong with Ocram's picons.
And as far as I know the skin is OK now as well. Did you do an online update (to build 750)?

Hi Rob - i've just upgraded to 750 and still have no picons on this skin. i'll try switching to a different skin and back again to see if that helps
Gary

No luck - tried uninstalling skin, deleting picon folder from USB stick and reinstalling. the vast majority of picons are still missing.
Any ideas anyone?

BBC1HD - 1:0:19:1B1D:802:2:11A0000:0:0:
BBC2HD - 1:0:19:1B1C:802:2:11A0000:0:0:
ITVHD - 1:0:19:2F62:7F4:2:11A0000:0:0

The first working one is Gold - 1:0:1:1968:7D6:2:11A0000:0:0:0:

They are all included, but they are included with 1_0_1 instead of 1_0_19, but if you are using the standard VIX image and skin they should show up regardless, if this skin does not overwrite any picon renderer files, it should also show the picons correct, but perhaps you overwrote some files by installing one of the very first versions of this skin  and now it's all gone haywire.

The reason for me making these changes is to avoid problems and duplicates in the long run, the first part of a serviceref is the servicetype 101=TV, 102=RADIO and for some reason then came 1019, being HDTV, but there's also 1016 used in fastscan lists, and many more...

The problem was there could be multiple versions of bbc1hd as an example

1:0:1:1B1D:802:2:11A0000:0:0:0
1:0:19:1B1D:802:2:11A0000:0:0:0
1:0:16:1B1D:802:2:11A0000:0:0:0

Then somebody comes along and says, the servicref has changed and 1:0:1:1B1D:802:2:11A0000:0:0:0 is now itv1, this is changed, but 1019 and 1016 remained the same, and incorrect, until some time later and somebody reports that 1019 is now itv1, 1016 is no longer used, but stays in as garbage, after quite some time, you get a lot of garbage and a lot of duplicates and a lot of time wasted doing the same work, as of now that's history. I could release a version with 1019 and 1016 included, but then the updates will take longer, because there are 3x more files and the users that use 7z archives will complain that the filessize has gone x3 when extracted.

And since that the default VIX image (and OpenPLI) uses 101 by default if it couldn't find a 1019 version, problems are almost non existent, unless you messed with the files responsible.

Unfortunately, I haven't messed with anything. I downloaded the latest picon set and most of them disappeared. Previous to the change of id (which I absolutely understand) everything was fine.
Scwheeler, is this a problem with the skin as other people have said their picons have disappeared too.
