I've been reading the forum over and over and can't seem to find the way to do this. I have a Nas which has shares called video, music and private. I am wanting the video one to be readable from the same place as the recordings on my HDD. Also I'd like to be able to copy things over to the Nas for backup purposes on demand.

I can mount it but it doesn't seem to show on the receiver anywhere. Tried NFS and CIF but ideally want NFS as I believe that will allow me full usage of the Nas rather than just one share?

A tutorial of how to connect it and where to go to stream from it would be amazing.

Thanks

If it has been mounted ok, bring up your filelist on the duo & press yellow for location.

I pressed yellow, it has a list of names the nas was called previously which I want to remove and also when I do a search through my network for it it's listed as its old name only on the receiver. all other items see it as the new name. I can't connect to any of them. Says they don't exist but in the mount manager it has a globe symbol next to it not an X.

Have a look at Menu -> Setup -> System -> Network -> Mounts setup -> Mount Manager -> Mounts point management.
Any there that need to be removed or updated?

That's where I saw that the globe icon is next to the mount. I have it set as nfs, the local name is Nas and the server share is Nas/video/ I'm willing to bet that I'm typing something in wrong there...

it says /media/autofs/nas isn't available. I haven't typed that as the path so god knows.

connected through the cif option. I'd like to have a shortcut on the main movie screen. is that possible?

and as soon as I exit it, I get a crash with autofs/nas doesn't exist

it's in a crash loop, can't leave the section where the mount is as when I try, it crashes.

ok, short and easy (hopefully) question. How do I put the movie path back to the HDD when it crashes every time I go into the movie section from the remote?

Have a look in /etc/fstab and /etc/auto.network

ok, I have the HDD back. I went into the mounted drives section and disabled each one and that cured it.
