£260 for a clone is shamefull.
If as you say you can track the seller then tell him/her that your going to contact trading standards.
It's one thing to buy a box cheap and taking your chances but that isn't even cheap.

First thoughts is that's what the sellers tactics were, My impression was that I was saving on courier costs and an extra couple of quid being at
the computer market. I knew the average price was around the £280 so it didn't seem unrealistic.

To quote the event team "All Traders must be registered with Northern Computer Markets before trading can commence.

Security checks are made with all traders prior to trading to give the customer reassurance when purchasing."

I expect at the risk of loosing there trading rights I will get a refund unless of course they had some notice stating they were clones which

Highley unlikely as clones are fakes and as such illegal, it would be the same as having a sign saying dvd copys latest film releases.

hi guy not sure if its a bug in the latest Build but i get a error web using webinterface
it return the following error

Request failed for: /web-data/tpl/default/tplBouquetsAndServices.htm
Status: 405 Method Not Allowed
box is VU+ uno running v3 build 423 lastupdated 2012/11/18
was working before update
any help i would be very grateful

i would pop down the market and polietely ask him for a discount or refund as you wanted an original

I suggest you record the trader audio or visually if you do have the chance to confront him

suggest that you dont want any trouble but if you dont get what you want you will forward this on to the police then contact the vu+ giving their full details [can be obtained from the market itself)

this isnt a cloned dvd !

this is a £300 piece of kit that you have been fraudulently sold as being an original when in fact it is a cheap Chinese copy

dm500's clones were bug free and worked the same as originals so there was no real argument

i bought my vu+ duo 3 yrs this feb and still works like brand new

there is no short cuts with this piece of kit, buy an original and save yourself time and effort

Just updated to 427. The media player does not work for files not recorded on the box. It just displays a black screen and the timers do not move. Tried many different video files and resetting the box. Nothing seems to work.

Previous to 427 I got an extra infobar when pressing OK twice, with info about the present show. This is now gone. The ECM-info telling me which cardreader in use is also gone. Don't know if this is deliberate, but thought I'd mention it. Both features was nice to have. Hope they will be back soon.

i have an issue where when i set programmes to record they start to record and show in the timers but they stay at 0.00 in the time...is this a common issue or is my hard drive or box want some work doing to it.

The only problem I have which is the major problem is after mounting a NFS Share on my NAS device (QNAP) I can no longer use the inbuilt Media Player and see the share in the Location (Movie Path) Please can you help?

Hello, I have tried to flash to the duo and read the usb and says remove and reboot, then it says starting but nothing just starting, its one of the first duo's, HELP!!

today I upgraded to 454 and set a recording of Bradley wiggins a year in Yellow and I have just checked it and there are 153 recordings all of which have a time of 0 minutes and do not play this is obviously a fault with this update as every timer set worked before this update I have just sent crashlogs for this event

i have found this Bugs in Vu+Duo Release 3.0.474:

Bug1:
"seconds -= config.recording.margin_before.value * 60" -this give back a Value as a txt = 'str', but the valu must be a number = 'int'. This bug leads to crash in varius Plugins.

Bug2:
Hbbtv in the German channel "ZDF" dont play videos.

thanks, this due to using old code 'config.xxxxx.xxxxxx.value' does not return a value but a str, i have updated lots of plugins, but for those that are are open source the author need to update his code.

they need to replace

.value

with

.getValue()

Hello andy,

why is the problem with ".value" only after from versions build 3.0.204? vix but based on OpenPLi, right? I have now test the original OpenPLI 3 nightly and there is no problem with ".value".
Vix is the single image with the .value issue.
