reset to switch box on again

back with same problem as before remote wont power on box from standby in the morning as i reflashed to apollo 54 a little while ago and that worked for a while,no epg setup to download and switched abm scan off yesterday to rule it out,only pluggin on box tsmedia and samba and running oh forgot the swap file.
if i could be so bold to ask about external hdd hookup to box to play recordings made from another box would i need a media player to play unknown format?

switched abm off to not update and box has powered on every day since,but accessing recordings puts the box into error mode so going to reflash to a later image.:thumbsup:

I upgraded to the new Vix HD on my Duo2 it's very good I really like it and I think that it is now compatible with your VU+Solo you could give that a try

Just checked and it is in the feeds for the Solo and all other VU+ receivers
