Vu+ Uno 4k SE remote IR extender question

Hi experts and hive mind. I have a question.

I had an IR remote extender which worked fine with this box but not so well with other boxes. It broke and I bought a new one that works well with all my boxes except the Vu. Is there a fix?

Would I need to find the right system code or should it just work?
