Tri-Link RF Distribution to 3 screens.

After a little advice, short term I need to distribute TV and control via RF to two additional rooms.

Current set-up: Vu Solo2 > 2:4 HDMI Matrix. From that a feed goes to the TV and another to a Balun set that feeds upstairs TV via a cat5e pair. I plan to use SCART/composite to feed the Tri-Link (not expecting great PQ), split the existing RG6 with a digital bypass compatible amplifier (with its own PSU) and take three feeds from it, each with its own magic eye, the first just for control to the existing Balun run, the other two to each bedroom.

Technically I can't see an obvious reason it won't work?

Longer term I can split the HDMI feed at the Balun and add an extra box or two for the other rooms.

Why not do it the proper way first time instead of "short term" solution?

Short version is what I want to do will cost me a minimum of £320, realistically I'd choose to buy a Solo 4K and a pair of S2's then spec Harmony touches for 4 sets, 1TB HD's and add flash drives with a final bill coming in over 1k. I have annual bills due and two young kids on summer holidays, going with the short term option costs me nothing other than half an hour pulling RG6

Besides if I bide my time, my wanted thread may get approved and I could pick up something interesting

Just a quick update for anything me who finds this post and wonders how well it works. Scart out from Solo2 to Tri-Link, set output to chosen chan (36 for me) cranked the gain (easier/better to amp it at source), feed to Philex SLx6B with the input via UHF, I used F connectors with adapters as they are close fitting, feed then to each TV. Remember to switch the TV tuner to analogue and tune accordingly, the results are quite reasonable, each room gets a decent picture and can control via a magic eye kit.

I modified the plan slightly and shoved a sub'd SkyHD box in one room to avoid conflicts over who watches what, in time I'll add another box, for now this works and cost me bugger all. Next phase is to sort proper internal distribution
