[TM-NANO-OE] vix 808 crashing

Hi brought tm nano from world of sat 4 weeks ago. got it set up fine. Box started freezing here and there either vix spinner or just frozen reboot from back to get it working. Sometimes picture would go green fuzzy have to reboot from back. So when it froze this time it wont come on just green light, been meaning to try re-flash wish i done it now. Please can someone help me

if you wish to upgrade to Zeus from ViX 3.0 you will first need to update to the latest bootloader here.

then flash the image. the procedure to flash the bootloader and image is exactly the same only the bootloader needs to be done first and only takes seconds where the image will take a few minutes.

Hi loaded bootloader on to usb one i was using for epg formatted first fat 32. switched it off from back, then back on with usb in back no msg comes on screen just green light on front stb. Tried vix 808 no msg comes on screen to update. What do i do now? gonna try different usb otherwise how do i bring it back? Thanks

What is folder structure of bootloader on USB stick?

for bootloader its update 2 folders tmnano & tmnanooe then cfe in both folder. tmnano folder is empty tmnanooe has cfe.bin file

Delete the folder without OE at end.

Also make sure that there is only one USB drive connected. Have you used this drive to flash receiver before?

This sounds exactly the same as my original box. I too got no picture on the screen at all at any stage (i.e. before the new software found press OK writing comes up) Also no matter what firmware or folder structure I put onto the USB it was impossible for the box to load it as the box wasn't actually doing anything other than showing a green led to show it had power. My box had been working perfectly without having any issues at first and then started freezing/fuzzy/spinner then final green light only after reboot ...this box was sent back and err "repaired"... some of my pains listed here http://www.world-of-satellite.com/showthread.php?33826-not-official-bad-blocks

My advice would be to sent the unit back to your supplier

The majority of these issues are user error rather than return to manufacturer/supplier.

I would normally agree, UNLESS you get the fact of at first random behaviour and then NO PICTURE AT ALL AT BOOT-TIME, before the software update writing comes up, making it impossible to update if that is the case. which is why i put "(i.e. before the new software found press OK writing comes up)"

Unless there is now rs232 software released to try enable a reflash via that port (not available when i last looked), although i dont think rs232 will help as i believe it to be the bootloader to be corrupted or hardware issue, so dont think the rs232 will connect either. I can see no other option apart from send back to the supplier in the scenario i stated

I have used this usb for flashing on other stb's. Tried deleting folder tmnano keeping tmnanooe still no joy. Just green light nothing on tv screen. Is there any other way to flash? gonna try to connect via telnet in bit

The Nano is only supposed to have one USB socket at the rear of the receiver but there have been instances before where some have been shipped with two, and it's always these models that have problems.

What would you advise me to do now? Gonna call world of sat tomorrow. But its defo 2 usb at rear are faulty stb?. Thanks for all your help guy's
