I am running both these receivers with vix 6.4.003 image for the first 6 months perfect but since then nothing pixelating on both systems sometimes all good then other times unwatchable..i have no idea why I checked the supplier all good the i am the only one having these problems according to the forums..
can anyone give me some sort of a heads up what it could be please????
could it be a caching problem if so how do i sort it or something else entirely i have no idea...Help please.... thanks guys

6.4 is a very old image. Please update and try again.
thanks but i am not so good at this and i worry about losing my IPTV and channels as i would find it very difficult to start again..

As its on both boxes you should check your broadband, download the plugin net speed test and see how each box performs, if you get good results then thats sorted, next get plugin cacheflush and run that then run xe. I have same image as you on a duo 2 and run iptv occasionally, not xe if you can say channels i could check.

And you could get a test from another provider that supports xe.

Are you using lan cables?

Try the above and report back.

I ditched XE about 2 years ago (It was a complete PITA), try using BouquetMakerXtream should be available from Plugins. Alternatively, XKlass is another way to view your feeds

the problem with all this is i have no idea how to install this without losing my IPTV feed

i am on a private IPTV no one else has any problems .yes i am on Lan and plenty of speed for this over 300.

Make an image backup which you can flash back if you have problems later. An image backup is different to a settings backup.

The script to install xeaio in the dedicated thread works on current image. I only tested the plugin starts. So you can try other plugins as well if you want to.

We need to know your level of expertise and at the moment its a bit of a struggle. When you say 300mbs is that what you get when you download net speed and run the test on each box?? Did you set the boxes up yourself and install xe? With XE when you reinstall it and run it you then just tell your provider the numbers that appear. Who is your ISP they may be blocking.? Did you download cache flush.

@radicaldoc - most of the iptv packages just use the same url, userid and password that is used for XE.
So apart from a download, the setup is usually fairly trivial and doesn,t destroy any of your current XE setup (working or not).
Its not unknown for providers to make it as difficult as possible to move from their preferred setup - but in reality its very simple to move to another software platform.
So I would suggest that you try some of the alternatives - you really have nothing to lose.

But if isp is blocking wont they have same problem?!!

sorry been i

ll.. just back today..level expertise is pretty basic..300mbp/s is speed test ..i am using skylink at the moment as i live in the mountains of spain and we have very very poor mobile signal and nothing else so pretty much my only option.... i don't think they are blocking me as i do torrents as well without any throttling. i haven't downloaded cache flush yet... will it only clear my cache??
sorry for the delay

If your Vu+ boxes are 4k boxes which I believe they are, then they have sufficient memory without resorting to this plugin, which was written in ancient times when boxes had really small flash memory.

i am going to try to make time to change things over the weekend thanks guys
